Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

UVDigital (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a digital design and development agency. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. We are the “controller” of the information described here, and we handle it in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who to contact

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at uvdigitaluk@gmail.com.

What information we collect

When you send an enquiry. Our enquiry form asks for the services you are interested in, a short description of your project, when you would like to start, an optional approximate budget, an optional link to your current website, your name and email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, company name and how you heard about us.

When you book or request a call. If you book a time through our booking calendar, we receive your name, email address and the time you choose. If you ask us to arrange a time instead, we receive the day and time of day you prefer.

When you contact us directly. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that conversation.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use this only to keep the website secure and working.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website.

How we use your information, and why

  • To reply to your enquiry, arrange a call and prepare a proposal. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and it is in our legitimate interests as a business to respond to the people who contact us.
  • To deliver and support our services if you become a client. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep our website secure and working properly. This is in our legitimate interests.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making. We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services that help us run the website and respond to you:

  • our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the enquiries you send;
  • our email provider, which delivers the emails we send and receive;
  • Google, if you book a call using our booking calendar (Google Calendar and Google Meet), so that the meeting can be scheduled and you can receive an invitation.

These providers act on our behalf and are only allowed to use your information for those purposes. Some of them are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, your information is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK’s approved international data transfer arrangements. We may also share information where the law requires us to.

Fonts and embedded content

To display this website’s typefaces, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts. This means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. If the booking calendar is shown, it is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics on this website. The website may use small files that are essential for it to work or stay secure. Embedded services such as the booking calendar may set their own cookies, which are controlled by those providers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the website may not work as intended.

How long we keep your information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to any work are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, and then deleted.
  • If you become a client, we keep your details and project records for as long as we work together, and for up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting reasons.
  • Technical logs kept by our hosting provider are deleted on a regular schedule.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Keeping your information safe

Enquiries are stored in our website’s private admin area, which is protected by a login, and the website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. No system is completely secure, but we take sensible steps to protect your information, and we limit access to the people who need it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it;
  • ask for information you gave us to be provided in a portable format; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email uvdigitaluk@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
